Director of Development at Beyond Sport
Carly Heinz (they/them) is the Director of Development at Beyond Sport, where they lead fundraising and partnership strategy to advance sport-led social change. With almost two decades of experience in the nonprofit sector, Carly has built and managed high-impact relationships with brands, foundations.
Prior to Beyond Sport, Carly held development roles at a number of different organizations, including Roc Nation, Epic Foundation, PAN Foundation, specializing in corporate and foundation giving, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth. They are also AmeriCorps alumni, having served with City Year New York, tutoring and mentoring middle school students in East Harlem. Their work is grounded in the belief that authentic, values-driven collaboration is essential to driving meaningful, lasting social impact.
Carly is based in New York City and holds a BA in Peace Studies from Goucher College, where they played NCAA Division III tennis, and attended New York University's Irish & Irish American Studies MA program. They are particularly interested in how identity and authenticity shape the way people build trust, form partnerships and show up in spaces that haven’t always been designed for them.
