Founder of Tawana Organization and a Soccer Coach
Dr. Hajar Abulfazl is an Afghan women’s football advocate, coach, and founder of Tawana Organization, an initiative dedicated to empowering Afghan girls through sport, leadership, and community. Through football, she creates opportunities for girls to build confidence, find belonging, and use their voices in spaces where they have often been excluded. Her work is rooted in the belief that sport is more than a game — it is a powerful tool for healing, resilience, education, and social change.
Having witnessed the challenges faced by Afghan women and girls firsthand, Hajar continues to use her platform to advocate for access, inclusion, and opportunity for displaced and underserved communities. Through tournaments, mentorship, and storytelling, Tawana Organization connects Afghan girls to global conversations around empowerment and the transformative power of sport. At the Adidas Power of Sport Talks, Hajar shares her journey and vision for creating lasting impact through football and community leadership.
