A new Request for Proposals opens on the 27th of February for community sport organizations in the 16 Football World Cup host cities across the USA, Canada and México.

We are inviting organizations that engage young people in meaningful, long‑term participation in sport and physical activity to join a new initiative within the Playing for Purpose program.
Through our strategic partnership with Beyond Sport and Common Goal, selected organizations will receive multi‑year grant funding, long‑term capacity‑strengthening support, and opportunities to participate in a structured Community of Practice designed to build organizational capacity, strengthen high‑quality and inclusive sport programming, and contribute to shared learning aimed at creating a more equitable youth sport ecosystem.
Together, we aim to broaden access to sport and create safer, more inclusive spaces for young people across North America.
Focus communities*

Belonging is shaped by self‑identification, local terminology, legal and policy environments, and social norms. Many young people may belong to multiple communities at once, experiencing overlapping forms of marginalization or discrimination. For this reason, the groups should be understood as guiding frameworks rather than rigid categories, designed to support inclusive, context‑sensitive programming and equitable access to sport and physical activity.
