Project timeline

All-Ukrainian Foundation for Children’s Rights’ project leverages the transformative power of sport to tackle hate and discrimination. By focusing on internally displaced young people in Ukraine, the project uses football to create opportunities for them to rebuild connections, develop skills, and contribute actively to their communities.
This project uses Open Fun Football Schools (OFFS) and an anti-discrimination methodology to train professionals and help young Ukrainians. By engaging local stakeholders such as schools, community police, and families, the program builds social cohesion between internally displaced young people and host community children. Activities include soccer schools, community sports sessions, and after-school programs - tapping into sports ability to build connections and community, besides integrating psychosocial support to the activities. Educational initiatives and community events work off the pitch to promote inclusion and peacebuilding.
