Open to women aged 18–29 in Germany, France, and Spain, with perspectives shaped by multicultural backgrounds and an interest in sport and in supporting young women

Sports and physical activity should feel like a place where everyone belongs. But for many girls and young women, especially those from multicultural backgrounds living in Europe, it still comes with extra layers of difficulty. That’s why we are launching the Young Women’s Advisory Group as part of our Playing for Purpose program in Germany, France, and Spain. Our goal is to offer a space where young women’s voices, ideas, and lived experiences are taken into consideration on the design, implementation and evaluation of our upcoming project to support girls and young women to access sport and stay active.
The Young Women’s Advisory Group will have a consulting role. This means members will share ideas, experiences, and recommendations to help guide the work of the adidas Foundation team. The Foundation will make the final decisions, but the group’s input will be asked for and carefully considered throughout the project, and final decisions will be shared back with the group.
The role is designed to fit alongside members’ studies, work, and personal responsibilities. Activities are scheduled in advance and require a limited, clearly defined time commitment.
Participation as a group member includes a mix of online meetings and in‑person workshops, with an average commitment of around two hours per month plus the participation in one in person event in Germany. Members of the Young Women’s Advisory Group will receive a fixed allowance in recognition of the time, expertise, and lived experience. To make participation accessible, the adidas Foundation provides support to participate, including covering travel, accommodation, and related costs for in‑person meetings.
